The most striking structure in the Toronto skyline is undoubtedly the CN Tower. The 553 meter high mast was once the tallest freestanding structure in the world, but now serves primarily as a viewpoint over the city. You will also find a restaurant and café on the tower.
The City Hall dates from 1965 and is an exceptional piece of architecture in the city. The marble floors, many murals and the two towers around the white council chamber give all this a very modern impression.
Casa Loma is a Gothic castle north of the center that was built by a wealthy banker in 1911. In the meantime, you can visit the castle as a museum with its many crystal chandeliers, marble floors and a large collection of vintage cars.
This is the name for the old warehouse district of Toronto. In itself not very attractive you would think, were it not for the fact that the entire area has undergone a major facelift. Once this was the place where alcohol was fired, but now it is considered to be one of the hippest neighborhoods in the city with numerous cozy restaurants, cafes and breweries.
